An intermediate bulk container tilt station is designed of a sturdy steel construction which, provides a secure tilting of containers for complete draining. Extended length, 180 degree swiveling casting tray extension puts the matrix where you need it when filling large molds used by Polymer Concrete Manufacturers and others.

 

Polymer Concrete manufacturers (and some other cast polymer manufacturers) fill large molds. Because of the mold size and area, the mixing barrel of your Autocaster may not extend out as far are you would like when trying to fill these large molds. And because the mixing barrel is fixed, it can't adjust from side to side either to help you move your matrix pour into the different cavities and areas of your molds.

This new device solves those issues in two ways:

• This Pneumatic Swivel Casting Trough features a 73" length casting trough, mounted to a swivel base. From the point the matrix drops out of the mixing barrel, the matrix exits the Autocaster mixing barrel, drops down into the casting trough, slides down the chute another 60 inches or so, then drops into the mold.  

• The swivel feature allows the casting trough to swivel out 90 degrees in either direction, for a total of 180 degrees of rotation.

Combined, you can now deliver matrix into most of the farthest reaches of your biggest molds to greatly simplify and add flexibility to your casting production workflow.

During operation, the casting trough angles down 15 degrees to encourage the flow of matrix down the chute. At certain times, you may want to pause or not pore any additional matrix, and you can use two includes foot pedals to raise or lower the casting trough up - to either horizontal or tilted slightly upward; and use the other pedal to lower it back down when you're ready to resume casting again and want it tilted downward.

This bin can be used in a wide variety of bulk solids material storage applications and workflows. It can be suitable as either a direct bulk material supply storage bin - directly feeding material into your manufacturing process, or used as a secondary/indirect storage system that feeds your primary storage. A big advantage to this system is that when it is providing "secondary" storage of bulk material, this product can keep your primary reservoir topped off at any point, and that while you are using your primary reservoir of material, you can be reload this storage bin without stopping your manufacturing process.  As long as you reload this bin before the primary reservoir empties, you now effectively have a continuous supply of bulk material so that your manufacturing run time is not limited by the limits of your primary material supply. This has huge implications for many manufacturers!

This material storage bin is designed to fit on top of, and be used with Gruber's Ground Hoppers, but it does not need to be placed there. Instead, you could have it floor mounted, or on an elevated pedestal. This storage bin incorporates a heavy-duty pneumatic slide gate assembly that opens to allow gravity-fed draining of the bin. The slide gate can be configured to either require manual operation via a switch, or can be configured for automatic or pneumatic triggering by another device. The basic form shown uses a pneumatically-actuated switch that the operator operating as needed. Generally this is to refill the primary material storage reservoir

A common use of this Storage Bin is to be mounted on top of a Gruber Ground Hopper, to greatly expand the bulk solid storage capacity available to extend production run times.

For polymer concrete manufacturing using our Polymer Concrete edition Autocaster continuous casting machines, the Autocaster machine includes a relatively smaller primary Filler Metering Hopper on the top of the machine, so most customers also use our Gruber Ground Hoppers to provide increased filler capacity. When used with a Gruber Ground Hopper, the Bulk Solid Storage Bin adds 1.74 cubic yards (about 46 cubic feet) of capacity to the Ground Hopper's 1/2 cubic yard of storage - which greatly extends the ability of the Autocaster machine to run for much longer period of time - particularly since their molds are so large and they need to pour the mold in a single production run. During a production run, the Autocaster automatically triggers the Ground Hopper to convey its material to the Autocaster machine's Filler Metering Hopper (located on top of the Autocaster), where it is then mixed and used in the pour. The Ground Hopper can use its entire 1/2 cubic yard of material,and with the addition of this Bulk Solid Storage bin, the operator can flip a switch to reload the Ground Hopper as needed with up to another 1.74 cubic yards of filler - so the Autocaster machine can continue running continuously for much longer period of time. This is very valuable for greatly extending the production run time, or for ensuring sufficient bulk filler material is available for large mold pours that require a large quantity of bulk fillers.

The slide gate is controlled on this configuration with a manually actuated pneumatic valve that controls the operation of two air cylinders that open and close the slide gate. When open, the material gravity feeds straight down a chute into the Ground Hopper below, and once drained, the slide gate is closed again prior to reloading the storage bin.

This Bulk Bag Suspender Frame is sized to fit a Gruber Ground Hopper, but it has two additional features compared to the standard Bulk Bag Suspender Frame - including Bag Hanger height adjustment to fit just about any bulk bag size, and more importantly, use a forklift to pickup just the bag hanger with its bulk bag attached) and bring it down to reload and then re-lift it back into position - all without stopping or pausing production. The entire frame itself can also be removed and replaced on top of the Ground Hopper during production. This provides additional inline material storage capacity for longer production runs without interruption. Other sizes and configurations available.

This adds an entire super sack worth of extra material capacity to your production process, and extends the time you can run and produce product. Since the super sack is an indirect source of material, you can quickly replace an empty sack while your primary supply of material is being used - so you can continuously run in many cases by continually reloading super sacks as needed! That can result in huge improvements in productivity, and eliminate costly production delays in material reloading! 

This adjustment suspender frame can accommodate just about any size super sack with its adjustable height feature. The bag hanger portion of this is positioned on a cradle that can be height adjusted a maximum of 9 inches of vertical travel – in 3 inch minimum increments. Maximum clearance for the bulk bag is 68 inches when the adjustable frame is fully raised, and when fully lowered, the minimum clearance is 59 inches. That clearance includes the total bag height, including the height of the bag straps.
